La Selva Festeggiante is a home restaurant offering a unique convivial experience that blends taste, culture, and nature, transporting you straight to the heart of the Middle Ages.

A journey of spices, ancient aromas, and authentic flavours, where every detail, from the food to the costumes, is carefully curated to provide a fully immersive, emotional, and timeless experience.

What We Will Do

A gastronomic and cultural experience allowing you to taste medieval cuisine as it was: faithful to historical recipes, full of atmosphere, all set in a charming environment.

• Feasting and conviviality: You’ll sit at a communal long table, just like in olden times, to share dishes and stories in a genuine, inclusive social eating atmosphere.

• Discover the Middle Ages with all your senses: Amid candelabras, period costumes, live music, and traditional dishes, you’ll live a multisensory experience that stimulates taste, sight, hearing, and imagination.

• Historical costumes and scenographic setting: Staff dress in medieval attire, and so can you! On reservation, there are long gowns for Ladies and cloaks, doublets, and headdresses for Knights.

• Art and culture: Some special dinners are accompanied by music, poetry, dance, and theatre performances (see section: Calendar & Events).

The Experience

Authentic medieval cuisine with two paths:

• “Fat” menu: rich in meats and animal fats.

• “Lean” menu: vegetarian with no animal ingredients.

The experience is suitable for everyone!
Thanks to the use of millet, rice, and buckwheat, menus can be gluten free. Almond milk often replaces dairy, making many dishes suitable for lactose-intolerant guests.

Medieval dinners are by reservation only and can be arranged:

• On any date of the year, upon request, provided the minimum number of participants is met.

• Or join one of the fixed dates in the summer calendar.

Price & What Is Included

Payment is in cash on site.

• Fat menu: €25

• Lean menu: €20

• Event supplement: €5 (only on event nights)

The fee includes:

• Medieval dinner prepared according to historical recipes

• Scenic setting with period fabrics and decor

• Artistic performances during special dinners (on selected days)

• Immersive experience in an exclusive natural location

• Suitable for children: Primarily designed for adults and seniors

• Pets allowed: Considered case-by-case. Generally, only small pets are accepted to ensure everyone’s safety. Pets must stay close to their owner throughout the dinner.
